You should never do something for someone expecting anything in return .... including a blessing.
If it is in your heart to help them ..... then help them expecting nothing.Give freely of yourself and be thankful you are able to help.They will have gained the help they need and you can find joy in the giving and feel good about what you've done.Sometimes the smallest things bring the greatest rewards.

They say if u help someone you will be blessed but i find if u do it out kindness and from the heart u will be blessed but waiting on it may make it take awhile to get there just help someone and forget about it and you'll be blessed

You will be blessed, patience is a virtue. Maybe you need to change your perspective, are you helping people to help people or are you helping them expecting something out of it (like a blessing)?
If you are helping people because you expect something out of it, then it sounds like you are just trying to help yourself. Do good things for people because you want to, the blessings will come.

well, if you're only helping people for the reward that awaits you, then you will never receive it. you are supposed to help others from the goodness of your heart, and in doing so, the Lord will bless you for the care of His children.
