You can just inquire to where you filed your divorce or ask any legal divorce attorney so you can be sure you wouldn't be doing any wrong actions regarding your sudden re-marriage if you plan to get married right after the divorce. :)

As far as I know, once the papers are filed and stamped by the court recorder, it is all over an done with and you are free to remarry. I know this because it happened to me. My wife left me for another man. There were some legal things to do over time, but one day, I appeared before the judge and the papers were stamped and recorded by the court. I called and told her it ws done, and she promptly remarried to the guy she left me for. Since we were in different time zones, but because of the date and time on the documents, technically she remarried an hour earlier than the local time the papers were stamped by the county clerk, so for a period of an hour or two, she was a bigamist, married to me, and married to him for the overlap in time because of the time zone difference. So, actually it depends on the court you are in where you filed the papers. Most will not recognice time zone differences and will allow you to remarry immediately, as my ex-wife did. The final determination is the date and time the final divorce papers which are filed in the court which retains jurisdiction, which is the absolute date and time the divorce is final. So, bottom line, once the papers are filed and stamped with a time and date for recording by the county clerk, you are divorced no matter what the local time clocks say. There is no overlap, no bigamy, nothing. If you want to remarry immediately, you cna do as my ex-wife did and seek out a justice of the peace an get married once the papers ar recorded by the court.

Since you haven't "moved on" in almost 19 years, you can marry the first guy that asks you six months after the ink drys. Do you mean in 19 years you have not been with another man? Don't sound right to me and if it is maybe you don't really need a man. Come on, come clean... you have ...... haven't you.

You can marry the same day or the next day once you have in writing confirmatin of the divorce. You have to show your divorce papers to get a new marriage license if you were married before

Generally it varies by state. I know in Nebraska you have to wait 6 months. I don't believe there is a pendency period in Missouri.

RE :How long do you have to wait to remarry after a divorce in Missouri?
My divorce will be uncontested so there will be no big fight or anything. So do I have to wait a month or can I get married the same day my divorce is finalized? So please give me a straight answer. The guy I am divorcing left me almost 19 years ago and I havn't seen him since. I have kind of waited long enough to move on with my life. So I need only honest answers. Please and thank you. :)
