I had a mammogram about a month ago and ever since my left breast has been slightly painful. Not real bad but enough to make me aware of it. Is this normal?

Okay, I shouldn't have asked a serious question like this to the "nighttime crowd". Maybe I'll try during the day for the more serious people.

You might have gotten slightly bruised during the mammogram- it happens sometimes if you have large breasts or extremely dense tissue that is difficult to compress between the plates. If it is still bugging you after few weeks more, then you probably ought to return to your doctor and have it looked into. Preferably, return to whichever doctor ordered the mammogram in the first place. By then the doctor should have the results of the mammogram and can have a look at the xray to see if there is something there to explain it.

I've sometimes been sore the day after a mammogram but not a month after. I looked around on some sites and didnt see anything about it. I'd call the doctor in the morning and let them know your concern.

I'm part of the night-time crowd sometimes when it comes to answering questions on here and I can tell you that what you are experiencing is not normal and you need to see a dr about it.
