Well the earth IS slowing down.
And over time that WILL make everything weigh more upon the surface of the earth.
You ask Why?
Because we are being "thrown" away from the surface of the earth every instant by the revolution of the earth (combined with the fact that momentum continues in a striaght line until interrupted by another force). This "throwing" is cancelling out some of the otherwise only downward force we would be experiencing.

Absolutely! As time passes, everyone gets old, ego and muscle both get smaller, hence... everything gets relatively heavier. In even further future, in 2 billion years, the sun will die out to be a low mass nebula, and the earth will first freeze all the water in its atmosphere then will drift off its orbit... It would then have a greater chance to gather other flying masses to make it gravitational pull greater.

the end of the world is near, we would need to leave earth and find another planet to live on if the earth stopped rotating. also is it stopped relolving around the sun, than it would fall into the sun and be burned.
better find a way to escape.

maybe because we will be one of the largest things on earth that did not become created via nano-technology.
Everything else will be lighter ( and smaller)
