If so, is the IRS.GOV website the best or is there a quicker way to get a refund? Like a rapid refund website.

Because you are past the time extended returns were to be filed (October 15, 2006 for 2005 returns) you'll definitely have to file in paper and mail it.

It could take several weeks for them to process and send you a refund.

I sincerely doubt that there are any rapid refund programs available for prior year returns. You can check an H&R Block or JH, but chances are they will make you wait.

you need to placed up your 2006 taxes with out postpone. Then diligently artwork to get 2005 performed, except you probably did not opt for to report for 2005. The IRS treats in line with annum seperately. I skipped 2001 and did not report it till round 2004, yet I filed 2002-3 on time with out problem.

You cannot, unless you find a efile service that does the 1040X form. That is the prior year form. I don't know of any who do, though I may be wrong.
