Why was beavin n butthead canceled, apparently for the language n stuff they used. When shows like family guy, and south park say worst things and are still on the air after a long time?

they'd been around forever, and they had to tone down the humor a lot, but at the time, there was no family guy, no south park, etc. they were the ones that pushed the envelope the most at the time. but that wasnt why they called it quits, it was just time to pack it in for mike judge and start something new "king of the hill).
they had to try to turn to a little more of a cerebral humor and less of a "frog baseball" humor. lol.

Well for one thing Beavis and Butthead cleared the WAY for these shows. Man it was a different time when Beavis and Butthead was on. Although I'm pretty sure Mike Judge ended the show, not it was canceled. I don't think MTV cared about the language issue. I think they just had to take out the whole Fire thing.

Wrong. The author simply decided to call it quits, he'd had enough. Without them they had to start showing crap like South Park, which would otherwise not stand a chance.

i have to agree with you on that but i wish i knew why but i don't beavis and butthead will always be one of my favorite cartoons that mike judd created next to king of the hill...

they were ahead of their time it's "ok" to say what they say on tv now days i've never really watched family guy few south parks here and there but if they are going to air them they should make it later

I don't think it was cancelled because of language. It was cancelled because they ran out of hard rock and metal videos to ridicule. No, actually, I think it is because people lost interest after a few seasons. It had appeal for a limited time.

I agree, i imagine the first answerer does too, yet she went off her meds and he or she forgot the question earlier she began typing. Why do those adult men save making King of the hill, even as they might properly be making extra episodes of B&B or Daria?

I loooooooooved that show...I think it was cancelled because some goobs played with fire and blamed it on the show.
