The Earth will still have its twice-daily tides because we'd still have the sun. Now, we could remove the sun, which would be the end of tides because for one thing, all the water would be frozen.

That is a wonderful question. The moon driven high-low tides would be gone, but there should still be a very much weaker solar tide. Instead of rising and lowering by several feet, it would be inches. (I'll calculate it and update this late). There will still be waves since that is caused by wind. But tidal flows would be greatly reduced.

oceans tide is controled by sun as well as moon, so may be the intensity of tide will change but we will continue to have tides

i dont think we can survive with out a moon.
