It appears to me they have different priorities; much more important to control other countries, act like gods, and put the country in a war they ultimately gain from. It is a disgrace, just plain Wrong how those putting young men and women in a harms way, resulting in thousands of people being killed, do they have interest in companies that get huge financial gains from the USA being in war? Check out who makes some of the military equipment, and then look at who has large interested in those companies.......
They don't care about bankrupting the United States, or the average working person who pays the bills. And the poor, uneducated, ignorant people who follow them . . . sad. They must not think for themselves.

I need an example to give a well reasoned response to your query. However I know what you seem to be implying....
Ironically this pendulum swings from one extreme to the other depending on what party is in power.
Others would ask the same question directed toward the left leaning folks spending money the government doesn't have to support well intentioned, but wasteful & inefficient social programs .
The bottom line to me personally is why do we as a population expect the government to provide so many things we can provide for more efficiently ourselves without adding a few layers of bureaucracy into the equation, thus costing all of us more in the end.
Nothing is free, the government gets it's money from us one way or another, because we are, in fact , the government.
Late edit for Joy K & many others believing the "war companies" ideology....you would be suprised to actually learn the many diverse companies making equipment , tools, instruments, clothing, & all the thousands of resources utilized by our military.
The majority of them also make products you & I use every day without a second thought, & by the way....nearly all of these companies are publicly held. That means they have stock that you or anyone else can purchase & benefit from any profit realized. Or as a shareholder you may vote to discontinue being a supplier of goods to the military or government if you are offended by it, & direct the company to take a different course.
It isn't just some "evil empire" benefiting from sale of goods to our government.....Americans from all walks of life own shares of these corporations in their retirement or personal investment portfolios.

It boils down to one very solid fact
if someone owes you---especially the major money
they are beholding TO you on almost every level that there is !!!
These are the reasons for the unchecked run up on the national debt--- the people in control are globalists--- the money that is owed on the national debt is owed to the people at the HELM of the globalist movement (counter to the belief of 89% of Americans---when polled-- who actually have stated that they believe we owe the national debt--- to ourselves !!!)
And, to close-- when it comes to the absolute ultra right --dude-- these are people who would blow their own brains out if the order came from the White House these days !! They don't even have the ability to think for themselves--- if it isn't Junior setting their tone --- it will be their local pastor !!!

Somebody has to defend the country, defend the economy and keep enemies at bay. That is our job and responsibility. What price do you put on your liberty or freedom?? When is the price too high ?? The left wing socialists want to pay toady taxes to the UN, surrender to our enemies, destroy our economy, and decimate our freedoms.

They don't think money is real, if you own the press, just print more. When you are spending billions, it doesn't seem real. They just watch the zeros transfer from the treasury to their accts.

They're not trying to bankrupt the US, they're just trying to get as much money in their own pockets as they can, regardless of how it effects other people.

Why do you think they outsource companies that actually do turn a profit, and they have investments in.
