"Chicago [Acoustic]" by Sufjan Stevens off of "The Avalanche" always makes me tear up. It's not so much a "love song" per se, but it says "I fell in love again/all things go, all things go" and it's got pretty romantic themes throughout, but it's overall a VERY beautiful song. For the full effect, make sure you get the acoustic version because there are about 4 album versions of the song.

Layla by eric clapton, that song is from an old story in India, the ballad of Layla and Majnun, its pretty much indian romeo and juliet.

There's a song called 'Honey & The Moon' by Joseph Arthur that's super-pretty and sung by a bloke. It's a simple, pretty tune (and not so well-known that it's a cliche'd wedding song), & can be played on guitar or piano. You'll find it on one of the American Pie CDs.
