Saurav Ganguly made his ODI debut on 11 Jan, 1992 in the Benson & Hedges tournament against West Indies at the Brisbane cricket ground. The other team playing in the tournament was Australia (of course ;-))
Saurav made 3 runs in 13 balls and was out lbw by Cummins. Sachin made a fighting 77 runs, but all other batsmen failed. India set Windies a target of 193 runs, which they achieved easily with 6 wickets in hand.
India tried 7 bowlers that day, including Sidhu and Srikanth, but Ganguly was not given a bowl.

merely earlier the 1992 international Cup in Australia. He made his debut antagonistic to the West Indies at Perth and become stuck behind off Malcolm Marshall's bowling for 3 on a diffeicult pitch at Perth. The video games become very close. would have even been a tie. both communities merely scored one hundred twenty 5. It become demanding situations so a harsh call to drop him immediately after.
