Take for instance Skating on Ice. We have Phil Schofield and the useless Holly Willoughby adding inane comments, Torville and Dean and ,in addition , the expert panel. Then there is American Idol. Here we have the celebrity panel, Seacrest and then Cat Deely all dressed up with nowhere to go, slowing things up by 'interviewing ' the contestants before and after their performances. Not very slick.

I agree... with the exception of football shows. For football its good to have a panel of experts for the ingame commentary and the aftermatch analysis... as each sees good and bad areas of play differently... so you have contrasting views. If it was just one expert doing the analysis it could easily be a biased and narrow view.... where as 3 experts give a more full view of how the teams played.

Totally agree with you. Cat Deeley is A big waste of space on American Idol. Also what does Holly do? Glad to know it's not just me being driven insane by this.

I believe tv shows are over presented. It is all about the ratings and pushing people's attention spans. I hope they know that when they do that it doesn't make me want to hang in there and find out what happens next...it makes me turn the channel.
