The reason for the conflict between Israel and the Arabs is that the Arabs, plain and simple, refuse to accept a Jewish state in their midst. They invented this whole idea of a "Palestinian people who deserve a state" just to use as a tool to dismember Israel.
Prior to partition, Palestinian Arabs did not view themselves as having a separate identity. When the First Congress of Muslim-Christian Associations met in Jerusalem in February 1919 to choose Palestinian representatives for the Paris Peace Conference, the following resolution was adopted:
"We consider Palestine as part of Arab Syria, as it has never been separated from it at any time. We are connected with it by national, religious, linguistic, natural, economic and geographical bonds.
"There is no such country as Palestine! 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was for centuries part of Syria."
- Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, a local Arab leader, to the Peel Commission, 1937
The Arabs who now call themselves "Palestinians" do so in order to persuade a misinformed world that they are a distinct nationality and that "Palestine" is their ancestral homeland. But they are no distinct nationality at all. They are the same - in language, custom, and tribal and family ties - as the Arabs of Syria, Jordan, and beyond. There is no more difference between the "Palestinians" and the other Arabs of those countries than there is between, say, the citizens of Minnesota and those of Wisconsin.
Iran is the biggest threat to the West today, and their military capability must be curbed by the West.
The Arabs must be absolutely and unquestionably defeated by Israel and the West, and then true peace can be negotiated.
In addition, individual terrorists must be eliminated--if necessary by engaging them and killing them.
There can be no rational argument against this two-pronged approach.

BIG IRON is actually the closest to getting this question right. The Arabs have been fighting for centuries. The Israelis are just giving them a focus right now. The people in the Middle East have been fighting longer than Muslium has been a religion. If the Israeli nation ceased to exist the Arabs would just find another target.

Wait for some more time, it will be resolved and a peace full time we could expect. But not now, it may continue as it is for little more. You know when?
Jesus Christ will come back to take the born again people, who believed in him. After that there will be a very bad time to the world. Only after that world can expect peace here.

With all due respect to your good intentions, the Arab-Israeli conflict is not yours to resolve, is not ours (as Americans) to resolve and isn't anyone's to resolve except (drum roll please): The Arabs and Israelis.
Trying to force our way upon the world should be limited to situations in which vital US interests are directly at stake. I have three sons and don't wish to see them get killed in combat any more than you or anyone else with children would wish to see their own die -- LEAST of all would I want to see my children die trying to solve SOMEONE ELSE'S problem.

The Muslims haven't gotten along with anyone in 1400 years why would they magically change now? This is an all or nothing game to them and it will end in utter tragedy for millions. In essence until Muslim schools and mosques quit teaching hatred and death it will only get worse.

Forgive and Forget. This will do the trick but money and power is on the way, so forget about this ever happening.
