well this is a simple thing to resolve... yes first make sure your monitor is plugged in and is turning on and if everything is connected and its not working simple put your motherboard CD into the CD ROM drive and reboot... this will definitely work.

Do you hear the power supply fan?
If not, that might be the first place to start, you may be looking at a new power supply!

Ok again similar questions did you check all plugs all connections if bstill problem then it's your fan and it been overheated your hard drive ? also how long has this problem been happening or did it just start? if so then shut it off for the night and it should be better and lookinto your cooling system for this computer if by tomarrow this doesn't work then you need to take your computer in to be fixed you could have melted your hard drive especially if it's a lap top.

If it's a laptop/notebook then it's probably your battery or charger. If it's a desktop it may be your power supply..
