Even fraud through some scheme on the Intenet is governed by the laws of the State you are living. Please make a report to the Local Police who will have a wing to detect cyber crime.
They will investigate get I.P addresses and the law enforcement machinery takes over as in any crime.

If you were scammed out of money you need to make a report to your local police department. If you were tricked but didn't physically lose anything you can't do anything.

if you were tricked into going to a phishing site, sometimes you can report the incident to the site they spoofed.

Contact the legitimate site and they can put your account on hold until you are verified.
