Put item in the freezer. After the gum has frozen try to chip off as much as you can. Test some lighter fluid on the back of the hem to see if it will harm the fabric. If it doesn't then put some lighter fluid on a cloth and rub on the remaining gum then wash in washer.

Apply ice on the bubble gum until hardened, then scrape off gently with a razor blade you can then use a little WD-40 spray on the residue then just wash as usual, his uniform will come out looking new again. Good Luck !

First put Ice cubes on the gum and scrape off as much as you can get off. Then take peanut butter and rub it in where the gum is. Wash it all over again and Walla, Surprise, it is gone. There is also a product called Goo Gone and it works like a dream.

As I have a kid that sometimes puts gum in her hair or on her clothes I found it great one day to see in a tv show the ultimate remedy. Simply use some vegetable oil. Rub it into the gum and it should rub off the clothes or out of hair.
In your case you only now have to get rid of the fat stain! This shouldn't be to difficult though if you have some pre wash spray.
Vegetable oil also works to get rid off any hard to remove glue for eg. those unsightly stickers kids sometimes happen to place whereever they aren't supposed to. Try it ! It works wonders!!

put ice on the bubble gum then peel it off from the cloth. (it depends on the material of the chewing gum). If it does not work \, try using kerosene.

Put it in the freezer for awhile, then take it out & you can chip the frozen gum off. Or put ice on it for awhile & do the same thing.

Freezer idea works, so does ice. Simply place in very cold area, leave sit, remove hardened gum.

Yes, freeze it and break off the gum. Might need to brush off any residue after that.
