It's like having an infinite library in your own home. You don't have to just wonder or guess about things anymore. You can just look it up. To me this widespread dissemination of information and education is the best part.

The downside is that people who spend a large part of their day on a computer can become isolated from human contact. On sites like this there is an exchange of ideas among strangers, but I'm sitting at the computer, and my husband is watching a movie alone.

The biggest problem is that with every new technology there are those who will try to use it to do harm to others. You have to be careful.

Great question! Positive - we've become a society that can perform tasks at much faster rates. We can do things that our predecessors only dreamed of. Negative - As we become more dependent on machines, we depend on other people less. What would society be without people depending on others?
