This is for a laptop thats going wireless.

Both programs are good. I assume this is a personal system, I do not use BlackIce for personal systems but, on servers you can profile the whole system, something I have not seen ZoneAlarm do as of yet. BlackIce in that respect is better to me as it will tell me if a program has changed not just software accessing the internet. Seeing how I am making the assumption this is a personal system use ZoneAlarm as it is free and will work just fine.

Zone Alarm. But now Zone Alarm is mot simply a firewall. There are too much other stuff in there.

BlackIce is not Proventia.

ZoneAlarm is fine as a personal firewall. If you want a feature-rich application with enterprize capabilities, you'll probably want Proventia.
