i just invited a former co-worker out and he said he was really intrested and then we ended up having lunch. when he dropped me home he said maybe we should go out again next week. what does that mean? like me as a friend? or likes me more than a friend?

He likes you as a friend.. enjoys you company alot that's why... at the beginning itself don't imagine such stuffs since that may make you feel that person to be more than a Friend but that may not be the same for that person.... So start you relationship as a good friend always try to be a good friend think of some other things only if you feel that you miss that person or want that persons company more than anyone else and that person also feels the same for him.... So its safe not to imagine things by your self

calling you for next time may be just to have fun or to have good time and nothing else also OK

I think its leading to first base... little bit. I think he try to get to know you first then see what move he'll make.
