I am making some Fullmetal Alchemist AMV's and I would like some ideas on songs...here's some topics I'd really like...

Saying Goodbye
Being Left Behind

But not "What Hurts The Most" that song has been done so many times it's not even funny! Maybe a song that is similar to Numb by Linkin Park. That song worked so well, but it's been done too many times. I want an original song that works well with it. I really want to do one about Hughes, one about Roy, and one about Ed.
If you watch Fulmetal Alchemist, tell me what song you think works best or what song you would like to see done. If you don't watch, that's kewl, just need some ideas. Thanx! <(^_^)>

Try maybe "Where'd You Go?" by Fort Minor. Fort Minor has Mike Shinoda in it, a singer from Linkin Park, so maybe this is what you are looking for.

Not sure if ANY of these will work, but like the other Answerers indicated, maybe it'll lead you to something? These are all songs about leaving, goodbyes, memories of what used to be, and being left behind....

Good Riddance (Green Day)
Here's to the Night (Eve 6)
In This Diary (Ataris)
Miss Misery (Elliot Smith)
Ocean Ave (Yellowcard)
Bad Goodbye (Winona Judd / Clint Black)
Everytime You Go Away (Paul Young)
I'll Get By (Eddie Money)
Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd)
Goodbye to You (Michelle Branch)

OK, that's all I can muster up from my trusty iPod! :-) Good luck!

I like the idea of:

"Say Goodbye" by Theory of A Deadman
"Its All Over" by Three Days Grace
"Gone Forever" by Three Days Grace
"Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down
"Best I Ever Had" by Vertical Horizon

Random songs I know of past experiences if any of that helps

What about Cole Porter's "Everytime We Say Goodbye"? Thats a classic, and there are many versions going around. My favourite being Annie Lennox's version. Its very moving.

Everytime we say goodbye, I die a little,
Everytime we say goodbye, I wonder why a little,
Why the gods above me, who must be in the know.
Think so little of me, they allow you to go.
When youre near, theres such an air of spring about it,
I can hear a lark somewhere, begin to sing about it,
Theres no love song finer, but how strange the change from major to
Minor,
Everytime we say goodbye.
