how do you cut and sew a t-shirt like punk girls?

i like to style shirts like punk girls where they cut the collar off and have it off the shoulders kind of but its never right and you have to sew but im not sure how does anyone know how?

get some black shirts n some white or red thread n a needle. cut the collar n the ends of sleeves, and the bottom of the shirt. thread the needle, tie a big knot on the end and do any kind of stitch that u can do. try taking the needle from the inside of the shirt, through the fabric and to the outside of the shirt, and then to take it to the inside of the shirt to come through to the front again all along the edges where u cut it. the look u r going for isnt one of perfection, so its good if the stitches are kinda weird looking. if u have any patches that are kinda antisocial u can sew them onsomewhere n it might look cool. try using lengths of thread no longer than ur arms reach and it will b easier to sew with it. u will get better as u practice, and u can always take the first attempts out later n redo them. try a heavyweight cotton covered thread, or somethng that seems kinda strong. good luck :) oh, and add some holes at the bottom of the shirt, that looks kinda cool too.

all you need is scissors, safety pins and a black sharpie marker.. a punk should know what to do after that naturally.. good luck
