She spits up or vomits just about EVERYTIME she eats, she hates tummytime. She just starts screaming all of a sudden, but isn't colic??

Persistant spitting up and colic symptons such as stomach pains...pulling their legs up to their tummy's, Excessive crying . My friends twins had acid reflux when right after they were born. I felt so bad for her as the kids were so miserable and she needed help and I was too far away to help :-( She was prescribed meds and they DID help. Good luck.

OMG Yes my son had reflux from the time he was 3 weeks old till almost a year. The only way we could get him to sleep was to lay on my chest while I was in my recliner any other way he would scream and spit-up all night. You may need to get him to see a Gastroenterologist my son was on a double dose of prilosec twice a day before he was not crying at night. I would not recommend try this with out seeing a doctor because when my son was on it it was still a prescription drug. I hope he feels better I know what you are going through . I will say a prayer for you.

Both my kids had it - GROAN. It is called GERD, and I know you can probably get better info by googling it, but here was my experience:

First baby - cried 12 hrs day at first, spit up constantly till she started walking, wouldn't lie on tummy, ate constantly, had projectile vomiting, had lots of gas.

Second baby - wouldn't eat, listless, wouldn't lie on tummy, had projectile vomiting, had lots of gas.

When a baby has GERD, he will either overfill or underfill his tummy to make it feel better. I had one of both, and believe me, the one that wouldn't eat was FAR more worrisome. About the time my second one was born some medications came out for babies, Tagamet and Propulsid and Reglan. Of course, since he wouldn't eat, it was quite a problem to get them down him. For both kids I used a homeopathic remedy called 'Fennel Tea.' You take a tsp of fennel seed and boil it in a cup of water till it looks like weak tea. Cool it and drain it and either have baby suck it from a bottle or use it as water to mix formula in. It will help sooth baby's tummy plus will take away the excessive gas. This may or may not be enough for a baby, depending on how severe the reflux is. Also, do not lie baby on his tummy - that will make him very uncomfortable.

You might need to change the baby formula you are giving her. I had the same problem with mine. Every time she was eating she was spitting it back up and than she wanted more. so i switched to enfamil gentle lease formula and she does really good on that.. so had the same problem your baby does
