How do I get the junk out of my Apple keyboard?

In my Apply keyboard there is a lot of crumbs/dust/whatever inside of it. How do I get it out? Turning it upside down and shaking doesn't help. Any ideas?

Use a credit card with a tissue wrapped around it to get between the keys and then use a canned air to blow it out. Whatever you do, don't "wash" it as some others here in Answers have suggested.
