It is called as "Chavdar Tale". It's bang in the middle of the Mahad city. It is famous because of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and his agitation.

In case you need to visit this spot : Mahad is on the Konkan highway, the highway connecting Mumbai and Goa. It's so famous that simply ask anybody about the Tale (i.e. big pond") and people will take you there once you are in Mahad.

Mahad is one of the most important cities of western Maharashtra, India.
