The meaning of the word MAGIC is - the power of apparently influencing events by using mysterious or supernatural forces or conjuring tricks performed to entertain.

This indicates that MAGIC is never real.
So every MAGIC whether its black or white or of any color can never be real.

Define "Black Magic."
Do you mean magic/magick that is used to controll others' wills and cause trouble? yep.. that exists... because that's the intent the person using the magic/magick.
If you mean magic/magick that's used to help get rid of bad habits, bad situations, and other negativities in a person's life then Yes... it also exists because that's the intent the magic/magick user intends.
The "evil" or "good" lies NOT in the alleged colour of the magick, or even in magick at all... but in the person behind the magick. It's the INTENTIONS of the PERSON. Magick doesn't work the way some people would have you believe. It's NOT a quick fix or anything close to an EASY WAY do get, have, or do anything! Believe me! It's work... and then Magick is only really used to boost what you're already doing. Say you want to lose 10 pounds... fine. Exercise a bit more, cut out the snacks AND cast yourself a little spell to ENHANCE what you're doing.
Hopefully, I've answered your question.

You are using the wrong term, you mean dark arts or dark magic, which is magic used for the sole purpose of evil and ill. Magic itself is neutral and has no colours and the whole basis for using colours like "black" & "white" comes from the old view of non-magical people that black meant evil and white purity. So anything black was bad; including people. Magic is real and so is the dark form, however "black" magic is a fallacy.

Also swapan42k is not quite right, conjuring tricks isn't magic, it's trickery or hocum. However, only those that are magical themselves know that, so to those thar aren't it shouldn't matter.

All magic is real. Most don't place into a quantitative category, such as black or white. I suppose it would depend on you magic religion/beliefs, as to whether you would call magical intent "white" or "black." It is basically where you boundaries are. Most witches would call what is beyond their moral beliefs "black magic." For example, Wiccans do not practice love spells, and would call that a mild form of black magic. On the other hand, those who practice gypsy magic do practice love spells, and would consider that the average type of magic.

Yes, "black magic" is real.

Our concept of what it is may be in error though. For instance, all magic, white or black, is evil, therefore it is technically "black magic." Magic is calling upon the supernatural abilities of Satan or his demons. This is forbidden, and you never, ever want to do this because it always has terrible consequences, sooner or later.

Since "black magic" is evil, then it is inseparable from just plain evil, especially when the evil is forced upon another. For instance, murdering, raping, poisoning someone is part of "black magic." A major component of "black magic" is deceit, so it does not actually matter how it is pulled off, whether it be by trickery (such as by a show magician), or by Satan himself.

"White magic" is a deeper form of deceit. It is specifically used to create the illusion that something good is being done, when actually evil is the intent and result. For instance, secretly poisoning someone, claiming that they are "cursed" and then giving them the antidote and claiming that this will lift the curse.

In nearly all cases, the one practicing the magic, whether it be "white" or "black" magic, is deceived. The forces of evil are at work and play through such a person, and they almost always know that, what they do not know sometimes, is the price that they must pay (and others) must pay for it. The ultimate price is always the same, their eternal souls.

Magic is best left alone, at any level, and in any form.

Having said that, I should point out that there is an "anti-magic" that is more real, not deceitful, and more powerful. It is when one appeals to God for something. Prayer for instance. It is also when we receive answers to our prayer. For instance, if we ask God for a $100 to pay the electric bill, getting the job done might require a tiny miracle on God's part. Sometimes we just do not see things that way.

Miracles are when God answers prayer in a way that we can obviously see is beyond what would happen if He did not exist. Anything from God, whether it be done through others, or angels, or through Himself, is not magic, it is simply His power, nature, and His grace.

On that same note, all magic can be said to be the power and nature of Satan, and his deceit.

Real magic is not black or white. It's the intent that matters.

IF the intent of the user is to harm or negative then yes. If you put negative energy in to the spell, then the results will be negaitve or black as you say.

All it is is the application of energy that anyone can access and use. Yes, even Christians. No, they don't believe me when I tell them that. Yes, they argue. No, I'm not continuing anymore.

The point is, everyone has an element, and everyone can use energy; the energy from their element is the easiest to use. Everything has energy; water, rocks, trees, sand, earth, mud, fire, the air, the wind, everything. You just have to learn how to gather it and manipulate it. ^^
