Lately, a friend admitted that she had feelings for me. But when she said it it was indicated that she "had" feelings, meaning it was from before. She said that I used to love you but not anymore because she saw the real me. Anyway, do you think she is still expecting me to say something? Or should I acknowledge what she felt and say thank you for loving me that much? She said I've been really insulting and neglecting. What to do?

That sounds exactly like a girl who has feelings for you. She's burnt because you've been neglecting her and being a jerk. So, she liked you until she got to know you. Not good news on any front. Use this as an opportunity to get info from her on how to change.

I think she is testing your boundries and trying to see if you have considered her that way. She wants to know if you are really being your true self, or if you will change to appeal to her and win her love back. Win it back although you didn't know you had it in the first place. It's an interesting thought. Could you tell a difference in your life with her love? If you do, and want it to go back the way it was. You need you have a long think about what you would be willing to adapt to make her happy again, and if you are willing to make those concessions. If you don't really feel affected either way. Then keep walking or pehaps resolve it by telling her that she was mistaken and you would be happier if she just took you as a friend for who you are....

wow. sounds like your "friend" is the insulting one. why would someone say that to a person unless they're just a b----and want to hurt you? i wouldn't care if she did expect a response, i wouldn't dignify that insult with a reply. i certainly wouldn't thank her for loving you, because she didn't love you. i think what to do is to stick with friends who respect you and don't play mind games like that.

That question could have been resolved at the time the statement was made with asking her why was she saying "use to". What had you done to change the way she felt?
