I just got a job at Abercrombie & Fitch. When finding out what the times and days you are working, do you have to punch in first and then is your work schedule displayed? or is it posted on the wall?
How much of an advance notice do I have to give to request some days off, since I will be going out of town with my family during spring break for a few days? And, if I do get the days off, do I have to have someone cover for me while im gone?

K, here's the deal:
1. You punch in, and select the 'print schedule' (I forget what it actually says), and then it'll print it on printer paper. You can usually just call if you want to know, but aren't there.

2. You need 2 full weeks of notice to actually request off, any less, and you're taking a gamble (happened to me on Valentines Day, and I lost). You'd better put it in now, you have to request each day off that you want, you can't just select the whole week (I know because I was requesting off for Spring Break just this Saturday).

3.If you requested off BEFORE the schedule was made, no one needs to cover your shift, but if you did it after the schedule was already made, you have to call other workers and PRAY that they can come in. Many will probably have something better to do, so you're going to just have to ask a lot of them. If you can't find someone, you're pretty much screwed.

They usually print it out and display it in the back. At least two full weeks notice is required.
