I'm looking for one song (maybe from Kind of Blue) that has many of the elements of jazz and examples on how the song portrays those elements.

The whole songs on the CD "Kind of Blue" shows all of the elements of jazz. It is impossible in jazz for 1 song to portray all of the elements of jazz. I played jazz piano for 5 years and Kind of Blue was our base of operations...sort of.

If you can, you should switch your focus to Charles Mingus. Miles did it all, but I can't think of any moments when it was all at one time.

Kind of Blue is a great album, but it was an introduction to modal playing, with lots of blues, but it doesn't illustrate other styles. It wasn't until a few years later that jazz music was mature enough to incorporate its history as a whole, that is what made the seed for the developing avante guarde and free jazz movements. There are many albums between 1961-1967 that are better illustrations of all the elements of jazz than Kind of Blue.

Mingus' songs (particularly between 1961-1964) are great representations of, not only jazz styles (such as dixieland, bebop, big band, and avante-garde) but jazz influences such as blues and gospel.
The two CD concert called The Great Concert of Charles Mingus is a perfect example of jazz as a whole. The band was very knowledgeable in the playing of all jazz styles, and with Mingus as a leader he allowed them to just let it spill out of them. Mingus is considered by many to be the greatest band leader in jazz history, because he expected greatness and creativity form his players.
