slather some Vick's vapor rub or Mentholatum under your nose when it gets bad. this helps dry up the nasal cavities quickly

Use a steam shower to break it up you can also get those shower soother or eucalyptus extract and put it on a washcloth in the shower. Now you won't be in the actual shower just in the bath room with the shower as hot as it can go. You can also put eucalyptus extract on light bulbs or in a humidifier. That should help break it all up and when you cough spit what ever you can out. The more you can get out the sooner it will go away. It may take a couple of weeks to be completely over it but it could only take a few days.

Ask your dr about taking guaifenisen (mucinex is the brand name of a time released type of this). I've been taking the immediate-release type in small quantities as needed. It really helps thin out the mucus so you will be less miserable. Vaporizer with vicks vaposteam (in the water) helps too, especially if you are coughing a lot. Don't bother with Kaz in the vaporizer medicine cup - it doesn't do much.

i have the same thing BAD. i spit into a solid color bottle so no one can see what im doing. its so gross i cant stand it. when i do try and force my self to swallow it, i vomit. so i figure spitting it out is the lesser of 2 evils. i'm now 4 mos and its getting better, so some days i dont have to spit at all but in my 2nd month i was filling up 20 ounce bottles in 8 hrs. i tried sucking on candy but it just flavored my spit and did nothing to make it subside. gum didnt help either. If anyone has a another suggestion please help!

I would go to the doctor for this one - increased sinus drainage is common during pregnancy, my midwife recommends using ocean mist spray for the nose, and an occasional sudafed - OCCASIONAL, not daily. Your doctor may have better meds for you, and just like any other pregnancy thing, it could last a couple of weeks, or until you deliver. Good luck.
