it had to do with her mom being in law enforcement when she was growing up and she didn't tolerate anyone of her children doing any type of drugs and would immediately turn her in herself if she ever caught her daugther doing drugs. there were also according to her interview with entertainment tonight that her mother supposed beat her and was raped.
