We would probably be shot by the state very quickly because we fight against the injustices that we see every day. The United States, while being the greatest most powerful nation this world has ever seen, is not the complete bed of roses everyone thinks it is. We have millions of citizens who sleep on streets because they have no chance, several additional millions who can't afford adequate healthcare because the American citizen pays the highest rates in the world, and still many millions who can barely feed their family. This is a travesty in a nation such as our own, but it is not only here... it is everywhere. So I think we should fix our problems, while simultaneously trying to help others survive and fix theirs, so long as we don't impose our own values on another culture. This nation has survived, two world wars, a civil war, and its own Revolutionary War which leads me to seriously doubt that trying to help all our citizens achieve in a capitalist society will destroy it. Isn't it said in the Bible that one should help their fellow man. Well this is what liberals are doing, fighting social injustice to help their fellow man, instead of leaving a major part of the populus behind in the wake of rapid profit and progress. Oh and please remember, everyone has the right to voice their mind (1st Amendment), whether you agree or not.

The guy in Tienanmen square you refer to, 'Tank Man', wasn't "smashed" as you suggested. He was grabbed and removed from the road, and never seen again.
I am an outsider to American politics, but I believe the "US being a terrorist" argument is that people from abroad are attacking US interests in retaliation for the "terrorist" activities of the US. Just a guess.
With 'attacking Muslims instead of Christians', wouldn't it be wise to hate religious fundamentalism in all its forms, whether it be Islamic or Christian? I've found fundamentalism does the opposite of what religion is supposed to do: unite. Instead, fundamentalism divides people in all it forms.
j b, didn't FDR, a Democrat, declare war on the Axis?

To those that are out to rid the world of western world capitalists the fact that one is liberal, democrat, republican, or independent will make no difference at all. To them we are children of the great satan first and nothing else matters. No flowers, rainbow stickers, incense, or peace chants will even amuse the enemy. I think many people need to travel abroad and see first hand how good they really have it here.

For the sake of this question I am a "liberal", and I have lived in some of the above mentioned parts of the world. It seems for you those places only exist in your imagination. I have been there and have survived; my head didn't explode. And I am all the more liberal because of my travels.
Remember that the activist liberals at Tiemienon Square died for Democracy and Free-speech. They are heroes! You imply they should have kept their mouths shut.

Because liberals are communists, that's why they hate capitalism so much, even though they are the ones who benefit from it. They also want the communists and terrorists to win, which is why they were so against the vietnam war and iraq conflict.

Liberals, gays, independent women, atheists ... all would be the first up against the wall if radical Muslims were in charge.

Thank God that the founders of this country and writers of the Constitution were "liberals" so that you could sit at home on your computer thinking/writing all your wonderful comments.

The difference is we live in the US where we have freedom of speech. Are you saying anyone who disagrees with you should not be allowed to talk?
