Yes, dogs and cats are animals. The culture in which one is raised determines what type of animal you eat -- that's why in certain parts of Asia I am a vegetarian.

Everything on this earth is an animal (aside from plants). The tricky question is do you think that your dog or cat is wondering if you killed the chicken or found something else to kill it. Also try thinking about what they think about their food.

Ummm, yes, what sort of question is this? Of course we know chickens are animals; we aren't stupid.

We just prefer not to think of them in the same terms as our pets, but if you are really upset by the thought then become a Veggie.

Durn it, now you ruined my dinner. I used to be a Veggie but I can no longer eat soy or legumes.

Yes, but so what. In some countries they are eating cats and dogs as we type these entries. In some countries cattle are sacred, you gonna quit burgers. I like cows and pigs, little piggies are cute. I still love my roast beef, burgers, steaks, bacon and ham steaks. Oh darn, now I'm hungry, gotta go raid the fridge.

Yes. They were drooling. They, as well as I recognized the chicken as "food." As to "Are they animals or not?" I wouldn't swear to it, but they could be sweet violets in disguise. I've been fooled before.

Yes. Thank goodness cats and dogs don't have feathers huh! Don't worry I think birds are cool as pets too. Just read my profile. We do threaten to fry them on occasion though when they squawk too much.
