Just wondering if you could shoot gun legally in the sky on July 4th, without the police coming.

As long as you don't live in a municipality where firing a gun is a crime. If you live in the counrty...have at it.
I would strongly suggest that you do not. That bullet has to come down somewhere, and you do not know where.

If it is legal any other day then yes.
If not then no.
Bad idea to shoot gun into the air on any day. The projectile has to fall somewhere.
Don’t do stupid crap with your firearms, the anti-gunners are getting all the ‘ammo’ they need from people doing just that…stupid crap.

LOL!! Don't try it inside the city limits. You can if you live out in the country outside of any municipality. But please don't go around shooting your gun up into the air even out in the country. You'll end up shooting someone by accident and then the police will definitely be called.

NO WAY!! A bullett fired into the air will fall back to earth with fatal velocity- IOW, it could kill someone.
You cannot fire a gun in a regulated area except in self defense, or for legal hunting. In L. A, Calif., for instance, if you are caught, you WILL spend time in jail.

HAHAHA Well, not legally, and it's probably not the safest, but I can see where it would be hard to restist. Now that I think about it I'd rather see someone dumb and patriotic than another self hating American that blames everything on his own country.

Legally, probably not unless you're outside of city limits.
In practice, there are plenty of places in the South where the cops won't harass you unless you hit something.

haha!! good question since it is Independence Day, however you cannot shoot your gun legally on that day. Trust me, the police will come out when they hear that.

No, you can't. It's illegal to discharge your firearm into the air on any day. Bullets eventually come back down.

No. It is stupid and dangerous as well as illegal. Ask youself this, where will the bullet land and would you want to be hit by a falling bullet.
