I had asked my doctor what the limit was back when I was pregnant. He said that there really wasn't a limit as long as the mother was healthy. He said the most he's done was 6, but another doctor in the same practice had done 12 on one woman. It's the scarring on the uterus, not the scar you see, that can create a problem. If scar tissue forms in the uterus there might be problems getting pregnant. However, if you are pregnant and have had a c-section, the baby has to come out some how and it will be c-section.

Is stix a doctor or a nurse. There is no law saying you have to get fixed after a 3rd c-section at least not in the US. The time period to wait after a C-section is 18 months at least. if you have waited that long and you haven't had serious helth issues in the past then I don't see why not.

I had 3 c-sections and waited at least a year between the c-section and getting pregnant again. They never told me I couldn't have a 4th. I also have a friend that has had 5 c-sections to my knowledge...just wait until you are completely healed and make sure your taking good care of yourself. Good luck.

i just had my fourth c-section in november. it's not any more risky than the third as long as the same incision like has been used for all the prior c-sections. also my husbands aunt had five, so stix is full of it
