Movable property includes livestock like cattle, horses, sheep, chickens and slaves. Nothing new in that. What was your question again?

African slaves were viewed as movable property especially during the Atlantic slave trade. They were taken from Africa, many by force, and transported inhumanely across the Atlantic.
Movable property can also be defined as personal property--- the slaves were owned my their masters and most had very, very little hope of attaining freedom or even having the ability to exercise their freewill.
Also, many of the slave homes (on the plantations) were known as chattel houses (moveable property). These houses were built on a loose foundations which means that they could be easily moved when slaves were being taken from one plantation to the next.

Oh for the love of God let the slavery thing go already.
Why do you think the tension still exsists in this country today? Why do you think racism still exsists?
Because no one can let the past lie in the past.
Whats this? It was a major thing and " I'm an african american that will never forget what was done to my people! "
You are right, what was done was very wrong, but, in turn, it was a huge effort to end it, costing countless lives.
It was the white man that caused it and it was the white man that ended it.
Yes, don't forget. But leave it in the history books.
