I work part time, go to college, and have absolutely no social life. It's not that I don't have time, it's that I have trouble talking to and meeting new people. There's one specific guy that I work with that I'd like to get to know better but, I have no idea what to talk about with him. And in my experience, it's difficult to keep a guy's attention long enough for him to be interested. What can I talk about?

if u want to strike up a good conservation...first..be a good listener...do not show any body language that distracts him e.g. folding ur arms or looking down at the floor...laugh when he laughs...nod ur head in understanding...and just follow the flow...good luck...

Do what the british do: talk about the weather! JK. Anyway, you need to relax before trying to talk to him because if you're tense or trying too hard, it will show. When you relax, the conversation will flow naturally and nobody will keep checking their watch for time.

Strike up a conversation, and go with it. It can be anything from the weather, to his interests, to talking about work/school.

just go with the flow.....keep them talking first and see what interest them, if u can keep up...u should be okay...when u get their attention, u can start with ur topic...and if u see them drifting, try going back, if they are still disinterested, move to the next person...

you should talk about work, since you have that in common and it might be easier to talk about.
