I'd rather work 4 10's because I'd love the 3 day weekend

Depends on the situation, but I prefer the 5/8's because I have the enegry to preform tasks at home after an 8 hour workday.
If the commutes a long one or if you're working out of town and have to stay at the Ritz, then 4/10's are better. BTW, Dave A's right about 4/10's saving on cost.
Most people I know love 4/10's or 4/10' and an 8, with an early start time.

I would personally want to work a 4/10 hr work week, as would end up having three day weekend. It gives you a chance to spend more time with family/friends.

I work 3/12 hour shifts a week and love it! But if I had to choose from these two I would pick 4/10.

Hands down a 4/10 work week. At least there is the option to go away for a few days, and have a day or two to just do nothing, and a day for errands.

If I have a long commute, I prefer the 4/10, as that's a long trip back and forth saved.

For a short commute, or working at home I prefer 5/8.

4/10 hr

It depends on what you value in your free time. 4/10 is better if you like to take week-end trips or have full-day activities. But 5/8 has advantages for things that you want to do more often. for example, exercise and meditation or other spiritual work are something that is better having time for every day. You can't miss exercise (or meditation) for 4 busy days; then make up for it by doing more on your long weekend. As far as time for family (or friends), consider if it's better for you to have some time each day, or give up daily time for longer weekend activities.
