OK, I'm 15 years old, I will be 16 on April 3, 2007. My Girlfriend is 14. Weve been dating for a year behind our parents backs because we were forced to break up last June. We kept dating while everyone thought we were just friends. We were dating for one year as of yesterday (march 3, 2007). Our parents came across some of our recent emails and found out we were dating, and now My parents told me i can not contact her until im 18. And Her mom said she is not allowed to contact me either. But we have been contacting eachother through our friends anyway. Now her mother wishes to take out a restraining order against me so i cannot see her or contact her. We have not been sexually active and there is NO history of violence. I would never lay my hands on her and she knows that. She still wants to be with me, and me with her, Can her mom get a Restraining order against her daughter's will with no violent or sexual activity?? I Live in Virginia if that changes anything. Answers Please!!!!!!!

If what you're saying is true, she will have to lie in order to get a restraining order. And if she does ,she will be lying under oath. Restraining orders were in acted for abused women and the court Will frown upon a person that wants to get one in order to keep you away. Also, you would have to go to court to defend yourself in case she lies. Will your parents let you? Good luck.

Absolutly she can get a restraining order against you.. and just about any judge in the USA will grant it.. what "she" wants & what "you" want dosent matter even a little until you are 18...

You'll love Juvi (which is where they will put you the first time you violate the restraining order) Fun place.. i know i did 2 9 month tours back to back in 2 different ones when I was about your age.. (not for this though)

In short.. you are a minor.. and the girl is a minor.. you have NO RIGHTS.. welcome to the real world kiddo...

I'm a little curious as to why both of your parents are so against the two of you dating. Whatever that reason is may decide the likely hood of the restraining order being granted.

well unfortunately her mother is in charge of her. She is only 14 and her mother has that right and your g/f can't do anything about the restraining order. Sorry.

Yes.

What part of "...living under MY roof..." do you not understand?

When you are all grown up and independent of the support of others then feel free to indulge yourselves in whatever manner you should choose. Until then... just cool your jets, Romeo.

This is a true Romeo and Juliet story, Capulets and Montagues.

Don't try for the ending... it is a tragedy afterall.
