No. A real estate license is a completely different license than an appraisal license. If possible you should try and take your appraisal courses and exam before 1/1/2008. They are increasing the number of classes that are needed to qualify for your appraisal license. Check your state's licensing requirements. In NY where I'm from you need 90hrs of classwork + 2,000 field hours (achieved in no less than 2 years) + state exam to get a residential license. There are three tiers of appraiser licenses. What state are you in? Usually, you get a real estate license and after so many years you can take the appraisal test, at least that is how it happens here in Texas.
