You don't need her in your life, according to Dr Phil friends aren't meant to be in your life forever, friends are there for our self development and its a fact that most ppl change their close friends every 4 years...and this is normal.
If she was a true friend she would want to be in your life
You dont need her

Okay. I have the same issue expect I'm the other friend. I moved away my friend and I visited keeped in touch wrote letters called. Then as we got older I felt we changed. She would call I would ignore. I felt that we no longer had anything in common. I got a family see didnt. She lived a college life I didnt. But yet she has always tried to keep in touch. The last time I saw her was 2 years ago and I'm finally going to go and visit again. She suggested maybe emailing each other instead of phone calls. At first I thought no its really not going to work but it has. We've been able to keep in touch a lot better now. Good luck. Let me know.

It seems like your friend gets very wrapped up in her every day life, but NEVER forgets about you. The fact that she continuously runs back to you shows that she does care. She may not even realize that you are feeling "shelved", maybe you guys can exhange e-mail addys (something that is easier to get to at times) and maybe you can find a nice way of letting your friend know how much you love that she keeps in touch with new addresses and phone numbers, but how you'd love to be more apart of her every day life...I bet she never realized she was putting you off. It's really a compliment to you that no matter how much time or miles that comes between you two that your friend keeps coming back. You are loved.

She might be busy with her work, family, etc. Don't let it bother you too much. Just get on with your normal life.
