If you are worried because you where previously evicted, it will show up on your credit report. In California however evictions are confidential for 60 days from the date the complaint is opened which allows you time to find a new place.

only if you give the name of you past landlord and there phone number. sometimes you are required to sign a waver that gives them right to a back round check.
