Is something worn underneath it? If so, what?

The key to flesh-toned lips is to first start with your skin coloring. For instance, if you have rosy skin, find a lipstick that has a bit of a pinkish tone to it.

I always use foundation as a base for my lipstick. It holds the color better and really works when using a flesh-tone lipstick.

Your best bet is to go to a department store or Sephora and just give different flesh-tone colors a try. Sephora has every color ever made, so I would start there. You don't have to buy it, but find the correct color and head to the drug store for a less expensive version if money is a factor.

Hope this helps!

you have to make it not look like you smothered your lips in concealer. go for a fleshtone with a bit of copper or gold in it; these are great for summer and will have a subtle glimmer to it. You can also put a gloss over it. Flesh hued lipstick can make you look washed out or sick, so to avoid an overly plain look, play your eyes up a bit more than usual, apply dark eyeliner or an extra coat of mascara.

Instead of using a fleshtone lipstick, take your concealer and dap it on your lips. Make sure it isn't too light, though, just maybe so it is a few shades darker than your skin tone. Pair pale lips with cat eye makeup to look retro! Hope this helps! :)
