Yes, he has a right to know - and, more importantly, he has a responsibility to the child!!

You're not hiding a puppy from him. This is a child. Whether he wants a child right now or not, as the father, he has certain rights and responsibilities to it. If he was so adamant about not wanting to have any children, why didn't he do what he had to do to make sure he didn't get anybody pregnant? Right there, that says he's irresponsible, but regardless of that, the law provides that his child shouldn't have to suffer because his father is a dim bulb. That's why, in some cases, they take child support right out of the parent's paycheck without them having a chance to get their hands on it and blow it. I don't think you have a choice here. You have to tell him. Who cares if he gets upset! It's time for him to grow up.

Yes. Tell him. He will have to know eventually so it's best to just tell him now and not hide it from him.

Many people, in fact most people get pregnant at a time when they didn't really want a baby yet.

Like most, he might just start to like the idea after the shock has settled down and might even, (more than likely), fall in love with the baby after he/she is born.

After all, he is 23. He's an adult. He will probably adjust well to the new arrival, especially after the baby is born. Most men do.

Good luck and try not to worry. Telling him now really is the best course of action.

CONGRATULATIONS! Be happy!

Even if he doesn't want the child every father has the right to know that a baby is on the way. If you feel like you can support it on your own then tell him that you don't need his help and that you will raise it. But it is still good to keep in contact with him because A)Your child will want to know who their father is one day and B)If there is some terrible medical mishap with your child and they need a blood transfusion, for example, he could be a donor. Or if the father has some sort of genetic disease you will need to know about it. If you plan on keeping the baby you NEED to tell him. It doesn't matter whether he wants it or not, it happened to now it is time to deal with it.

After the child is born, you could tell him "I have a surprise for you" and then present him with his brand new kid!
After he knows that you and himself have brought new life into this world, I'm he will want to marry you and all stay together as a family.

if you still care for him and hes been good to you then yes. if he cheated and lied and did you wrong no i wouldnt tell him. the worst thing that can happen is he'll get pissed and not want to have anything to do with the kid and if that happens he dont deserve to be a dad or have anything to do with the kid at all. he may surprise you though.
