Batman: no special powers, but has plenty of cool, universal, handy, and cool gadgets such as Batarang and Batmobile. being not an alien gives him ordinary strength and weakness.

Superman: no handy nor confusing gadgets so he doesn't have to confused with his tools. Being an alien gives him super power than any human beings like super-strength, ability to fly, and bullet-proof but a kryptonite will weaken or kill him.

The better one is........ They're all the same.
For me they both have advantages and disadvantages. If one of 'em got no weakness then i'll pick that guy.

To me Batman is better and its really simple why. He has no real super powers yet he can still kick butt. He has on file in the Batputer, I guess you would call it, every single secret identity of every DC hero along with whatever their individual strengths and weaknesses. Basically that means he has the means to defeat any super hero out there including Superman, lets not forget Batman owns the entire supply of the the Earths kryptonite. Also does anyone remember in the "Death in the Family" series where Batman was out to kill the Joker and was confronted by Superman because at the time the Joker was ambassador to Iraq, yeah I know lame, he was SO pissed he tried to punch out Superman and broke his hand. Now that's a guy that doesn't give a crap if he knows he is out-maned! Plus he is just cooler! Period!

Batman. He doesn't always let things like the law stand in the way of giving someone a beating they deserve. He understands the common man. Old Superman always tries to do the right thing. Gimme a break. Besides, Superman is an alien. Give me a Human being everytime.

I've always been a bigger fan of Superman. Think about it as I heard once. Let's start with Batman, he's a normal man when he's Bruce Wayne and all. When he decides to help people he becomes someone that he;s really not. He's only a superhero when he puts the suit on. True it would be cool to have all that gadgets an stuff, but he's lying to everyone and not being his true-self. Now Superman. He is Superman plain and simple. The powers that he has are his. He has to look like one of us to blend in and not be himself. But when he's Superman the is exactly who he is. I probably put way too much thought into it. Like I said I would have to choose Superman because I like the thought of already having the abilities and not having to "create" them.

Batman. He doesn't need super powers in order to beat villains. he makes his own weapons, which can be pretty ingenuitive. Also, he must be a fairly good business man, keeping up the family business, and being a hero.
He is also better looking.
Superman would no be very important if he had been born on earth, or had remained on his planet.
Batman rocks.
Plus, the Batman movies have always been better.

Superman would win in a fight, but Batman would bet him everywhere else, beyond the superpowers Clark Kent is just a shy reporter, and farmboy, where as Bruce Wayne is a billionare playboy, a brilliant engineer, and a cunning businessman, he's the Tony Stark of DC

And Stark could beat both of them, because it wouldn't take him very long to figure out Superman's waekness is kryptonite, and the Iron Man armor gives stark the abilities of a walking tank and a fighter jet, his only waekness is that every so often he gets piss drunk and makes rhodey be iron man while he's drinking

Batman was not just given power he trained and strove to be something. He uses science in conjunction with fighting to do his thing. Still human he has those human frailties that make him real.
Where as superman is near invincible without any effort on his part. He can not empathize with anyone and feels superior to all of humanity, the dirty rug-rats he cleans up after. I also hate his hair. And what was with that I will steal Louis back from the guy she is living with raising a child in that last horrible movie. superman needs to stay dead.

Batman!!!

Superman is an alien with super alien powers that allow him to fight evil. Batman is just a regular human who uses no magical or super devices/powers. He doesn't come from another planet, he wasn't bit by a radioactive spider, he's just human. Not to mention that the villains that Batman fights are far more original and creative than the ones Superman fight. (Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman.)

Plus, Adam West is awesome!!!

Batman is the better hero than Superman.

Yes, it is true that Superman has powers and abilities far beyond that of mortal men...faster than a speeding bullet...more powerful than a locomotive...able to leap tall buildings in a single bound...etc. All very impressive except for one fact. Superman never had to try. Earth's yellow sun gave his Kryptonian physique these incredible powers that no human could ever enjoy.
Superman never suffered for his powers

Bat Man, however, after seeing his parents gun downed in a senseless act of violence, used traits we all posses, self sacrifice, determination and a need to bring order to a chaotic world to make him self into instrument of justice.
By his sheer will to see justice done Bat Man studied, and trained himself to be a lone dark knight for justice. Bat Man Chose to be a hero.

All of us have the ability to become like Bat Man if we train hard enough for a cause that is just. We can never be Superman no matter how hard we pray. You will not wake up with super powers. Bat Man shows us the best of the human spirit.
The best in all of us.

And that, my children is why Bat Man is better than Superman.

Batman is better because he is a human and has to struggle as such.

He doesn't have any superpowers, unlike many of the DC comic heros but instead relies on his intellegence and skills to overcome even the most powerful foes.

He always has a plan and is willing to almost anything to uphold justice, drawing the line at murder and resorting to utterly criminal acts.

He also has been Superman in a fight by exploiting his weakness to kryptonite.

Superman is good but he's an out and out hero and his power makes him almost impossible to beat (with the exception of Doomsday, who actually killed him), so it's hard to get behind him.

Batman is the underdog in a way and actaulyl has to struggle with what he does and who he battles.
A flawed hero is a better hero. :)
