I was seeing in some of the older interviews that the name of one of the main characters from the opening credits wouldn't be appearing for the remainder of the season. Obviously this is going to mean Starbuck. I've got to believe, however, that they wouldn't can one of the more popular characters! I'm guessing that they'll be bringing her back somehow in the fourth season. If not, I'm gonna be pissed that they'd kill off such a great character just for the shock factor!

Starbuck could be one of the final 5 cylon models that nobody has seen yet. They would not kill off such a popular character like they did so they will be bringing her back in some way, either she survived the explosion somehow or she will be resurrected in a new body.

Certainly they've been reading the Buffy and Angel method book for writing plots. People were always dying and coming back in those shows.
She'll be back - but it might not be her...

Could this be the work of Count Iblis?
Could she be brought back like apollo was in the original series after being tricked into his own death, and will they encounter the beings of light, and terra?

ah.we just watched that.. no because in the original starbuck was missing for awhile too but was found...she is just missing..

She can't be dead. She's one of the main characters...still, the scene was very well done.
