I have always seen it as a choice.
Regarding one twin or another, again, it is a choice. Just the same as a choice of who to marry for a straight man.
Of several gay men that I have worked with or known through family, each one told me that they had been attracted to females first, but had not been able to find affection from the opposite sex, and took it when it WAS offered.

It is shown that in Fraternal twins (non-identical twins), the chances of both twins being gay is the same as that of two siblings, not that high. however in Mono zygotic twins (Identical twins) the rate of both twins being gay is as high as 80%. There is a very good chance that both will turn out gay. HOWEVER there is no hard and fast rule and it is not that rare for one twin to be gay and the other straight.

No it does not mean that both were predetermined to be gay. what it does mean, is that there was an uneven distribution of hormones while they still in the uterus. No reason why, just a thing that happens in nature. Best wishes

I think that it is often a matter of different brain wiring, rather than absolute choice. There have been twins where both were gay, identical ones.
This is far too complex a question for a nice, simple answer.

A friend of mine who is gay has an identical twin sister, it was interesting to discover that she is also gay. I think this is a good indication that being gay is genetic.

If one twin jumps in front of a train must the second also do the same?
Two twins will probably have the same race. They will each decide who they will sleep with or not (no one has to sleep with anyone).

I know this sounds like a simple answer but NO
Being gay is a personal choice ,a personal attraction, being gay is not in you genes it's something you chose or don't chose to be. It's not like your born to be gay you are either attracted to the opposite sex or attracted to the same sex.
I hope my answer reassured you.
