No culture will view ageing as a beautiful process of life. It is natural that nobody want to be old. Just do not have to view it as a horrible thing. It is not beautiful but not horrible. Take it as it is.

Many Asian, African, and Middle Eastern cultures and societies view age as a good thing. The oldest people in a village were the wisest and the most respected...and rare. True gifts. I view age as the same thing, for I work in a assisted living place and I hear the best wisdom and find the most amazing charactors.

American Indians, Latin Americans, Asians, Indians, Africans see aging as a symptom adquiring wisdom and patience, which are desirable and respctable qualities. Europeans in general also respect the process of aging and only see it as a natural and normal process of life, as well as death wich is also part of life.

I believe that the Japanese culture respects the elder members of their communities.

I think that the Chinese may as well.

I wish that we did have more respect for those with so much wisdom.
