Yes, give her tylenol, and if at all possible, try to keep her propped up while laying down...at least until she's sound asleep. Do NOT do the blow dryer thing! That is unfounded advice. Most ear infections are caused by a bacteria build up in the inner ear. Sometimes they occur by having a stuffed up nose too long, and when it does'nt drain properly, bacteria gets caught in the inner ear. You may get a fluid build up in the inner ear, but nothing that a blow dryer would touch! Just try to sooth her as much as possible, until you can see the Dr. tommorrow. Mommy's love and care goes a long way, teamed with Tylenol! :) Good luck to you and your little angel. P.S. Never stick ANYTHING in baby's ear...not even a Q-tip! That comes straight from the pediatrician!!!

For tonight try laying her on a recline. If you have a baby papasan or swing, that would work. It may help reduce pressure on the tube from the sinuses to the ear, which is where the infection takes place.

Good luck! Be sure to get an antibiotic tomorrow to clear the infection. Some docs won't give it unless the temp. is really high, so be assertive.

yes by all means give her tylenol
try turning your blow dryer on LOW heat
and let the air ease into her ear
not a constant blowing but move the dryer back and forth
(in her ear for a couple of seconds and then away from her)
you can also try heating a towel in the microwave
and placing it against you and laying her ear agaunst the towel
BE SURE TO CHECK THE TEMPERATURE ON THE TOWEL FIRST THEY CAN GET VERY HOT!!
25 or 30 seconds is usually enough

Yes you can give her infant's tylenol and put a warm cloth over her ear until you can get to a doctor.

yes you can give her some tylenol. oh and by the way, do NOT blow air on her from a blow dryer, that will not soothe her, but a warm towel might be comforting.

If you are breastfeeding, drip a little breast milk into the ear. Breast milk has antibodies and natural painkillers. Sounds kind of weird, but it really works!

If your doctor told you how much to give her from before, give it to her then.... And also hold her more than you usually would that will comfort her a little more too!
