Are these all rooted from the same meaning. I need a dictionary. I don't think Irritate fits do you?

each of these words have a different meaning... in my own words, irate means angry. eg, irate customer... irrational means not practical/ not sound. eg, irrational decision. irritate means to aggravate. eg, the houseflies buzzing around my head irritate me.

as for same root, i think yes... rat/rit, but i don't know the meaning... you can check it out by going to dictionary.com.
