I've seen a few breeders out of state, but I'm looking locally and can't find one. Texas has a bunch of bengal breeders, but I was looking for an Ocicat because the Cat Fancy Breed info was telling me that it does not have the wild tendencies of Bengals & Savanas.

I could only find one -

The first link has information for Don Bozeman of Ocicountry Cattery in Amarillo. The webpage it links to doesn't work but it has an email address and phone number for him.

Hi, I didn't 'spot' any breeders of Ocicats in Texas - though I did find an advert for a three year old Ocicat that is looking for a new home:

It sounds like you're looking for a spotted cat but are a bit concerned about any 'wild tendencies' - so I wondered if you'd considered an Egyptian Mau - because there are breeders of these spotted cats in Texas - here you go, some links so that you can see what you think:

About the Egyptian Mau:

I found the two breeders on this site:

Both seem to breed mostly silver Egyptian Mau:

However, don't discount Bengals out of hand - I've several, along with a couple of Serengeti - the Bengals are slightly less cuddly (though this does depend on the individual) & are slightly more naughty (fridge & cupboard raiding) but they are not fierce or agressive at all. I can rub their tummies, pick them up & blow raspberries on their bellies (ok perhaps I'm just a bit eccentric) & they are great companions, always interested & always ready for to play. If you do change your mind, just make sure that they've been bred in a home environment & that they've been handled & played with daily.

Hope this helps, best wishes

PS This breeder in the UK - has four different breeds - Ocicat, Egyptian Mau, Serengeti & Bengal - it's a great site to visit to look at the similarities & the differences:
