How do you motivate yourself to study ?

you just have to know you want it.
u sit yourself down, get rid of all the distractions and study until you feel accomplished.
its mostly u wanting to study..the more effort you put into studyin the easier it gets.
i personally need to study everyday or it makes me feel dumb, but do what suits u.
in order to motivate yourself you have to put it as a goal and put effort into studyin and make sure your determined to do it and get a good grade. when you study try to have fun and study in a way that will help you.

When I'm having trouble getting my work done I try and go somewhere that there isn't anything really more interesting to do. Like if I go to the book store, get a cup of coffee and work there what else am i going to do? Read something else?
Then again, maybe I'm not the best person to answer this question. I have a text book off to the side right now. I'm taking a "study break".

I often think about the good feeling of getting a solid "A" on a test. The teacher will think of you as a good student, your friends will think that you're smart, and hey, you'll probably be smart since you studied and got that "A."

Something else I do is remind myself that when I take the test, I will look back and thank myself for studying. The next day, when I sit down in class to take my test, I mentally thank myself for preventing unnecessary stress and worry (not to mention, preventing a horrible grade). I feel as though I did myself another little 'favor.'

I know where you're coming from! Technically I'm supposed to be studying for a chemistry test right now...any way! When I can't get myself to study, I think of the consequenses. I won't do well on my test, and that will pull down my grade. My mom will see that lower grade and ground me. I won't be able to go to that party this weekend, where my crush is. I could have hit it off with them and met my true love! So if I were you I'd study to save my love life.

2. Pretend that is a game.
3. Give yourself chocolate when you do a good job.
4. Take breaks.
5. START RIGHT WHEN YOU GET HOME!

Instead of coming home and playing computer and asking yahoo for answers LOL JUST KIDDING, you should just sit down by the TV and study your book with the TV on but pay just a bit more attention to the book or the studying matierial. It is a good idea trust me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
